On September 10, 2025, Ambassador Ana Irene Delgado, President of the OAS Committee on Hemispheric Security, made a protocol visit to the historic facilities of the Casa del Soldado, headquarters of the Inter-American Defense Board, in Washington, DC.

The Ambassador was received by the IADB leadership. During her stay, she was explained the purpose, structure, organization, and activities carried out by this multilateral international defense organization, which aims to fulfill the mandates established by the OAS and its Democratic Charter.

For her part, Ambassador Ana Delgado emphasized the importance of the participation of OAS member states in the Inter-American System, since together with the Inter-American Defense Board, through cooperation, collaboration, and frank and respectful dialogue, they can find and implement solutions to the various challenges currently facing the hemisphere.
