On March 4, the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) received a visit from representatives of the Permanent Secretariat of the Inter-American Naval Conference (SPCNI), in a meeting aimed at strengthening hemispheric cooperation in maritime security and defense.
During the visit, an institutional presentation was given on the mission, organization and main initiatives of the SPCNI, highlighting the role of the Inter-American Naval Conference and its specialized conferences as key spaces for technical cooperation and the exchange of experiences among the navies of the hemisphere.
Strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening interoperability and regional maritime security were also discussed, including Naval Vision 2050, conceived as a long-term cooperation framework for the navies of the Western Hemisphere.
This meeting strengthened institutional ties, promoted the exchange of best practices, and continued to drive joint actions in favor of maritime security and stability in the Americas.
