On February 10, at the facilities of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Mr. Benoni Belli, in the city of Washington, DC, received a courtesy visit.
The distinguished authority was received by Major General Reinaldo Salgado Beato, Secretary General of the IADB, and Major General Cesar Macedo, President of the Council of Delegates, with whom he held an institutional meeting aimed at strengthening cooperation and dialogue ties.
During the visit, the Ambassador toured the new facilities of the Soldier's House, located in the main building of the Organization of American States (OAS), where he was able to learn about the infrastructure improvements, as well as the role of the IADB as a specialized advisory body on security and defense serving the Member States.
This meeting reaffirms the commitment of the Inter-American Defense Board to continue strengthening inter-institutional cooperation and relations with the countries of the hemisphere, in support of joint efforts in security and defense matters.
