A delegation from The Washington Center made an academic visit to the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) in Washington DC with the aim of learning about the work of this international organization dedicated to cooperation in defense and hemispheric security.

The delegation was received by the Colonel Daniel R. Fitch, Director of the Undersecretariat of Services and Advice of the IADB, who gave them a presentation on the history, structure, mission and main activities of the Inter-American Defense Board, as well as its role within the Organization of American States.

The activity was part of the academic and internship program of The Washington Center, an organization that maintains partnerships with universities, governments, and international organizations to offer professional and educational experiences to students from different countries. The Inter-American Defense Board has been promoting this program for several years as a host institution for international interns, strengthening academic and multicultural exchange among the Americas.
