On Tuesday, April 7, the Leadership of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) held a working meeting with the Ambassador of Mexico to the Organization of American States, Alejandro Encinas Rodríguez, with the purpose of strengthening cooperation ties and dialogue on hemispheric security and defense.

The IADB was represented by Major General César Macedo García, Chairman of the Council of Delegates, Major General Reinaldo Salgado Beato, Director General of the IADB Secretariat, and Admiral Pablo Blanco Ozorio, Acting Director of the Inter-American Defense College.

During the meeting, topics of common interest were addressed related to the role of the IADB as a technical, consultative and educational advisory body of the OAS, highlighting its contribution to strengthening institutional capacities and cooperation among member states.

For his part, Ambassador Alejandro Encinas highlighted the work of the IADB and expressed his interest in continuing to promote initiatives that contribute to the development of a common security and defense agenda for the hemisphere.
