On February 26, BGen Stephen Lacroix, accompanied by Ms. Isabel Niewola, Executive Director of the Inter-American Foundation, participated in the reception of the XVIII Parliamentary Conference on Borders and NAFTA / USMCA Aspects, organized by the Chamber of Commerce Mexico united states.
Speakers and moderators included Members of Congress, representatives of the governments of the United States and Mexico, as well as individuals and experts from the private sector. At the event, these authorities had the opportunity to openly discuss aspects related to the current situation on the border between the countries, as well as the way in which the challenges imposed by such circumstances can and should be faced.
BGen Lacroix and Ms. Niewola had the privilege of exchanging experiences and information with the Ambassador of Canada to the United States, Ambassador David MacNaughon and the Ambassador of Mexico to the United States, Ambassador Martha Bárcena Coqui, among other specialists in the field of border security.
