On February 17, a meeting was held at the “Casa del Soldado” with the participation of Vice Admiral Alexandre Rabello de Faria, Mr. Kevin Haley, Mr. Clark Crook-Castan, General Néstor Daniel Zalazar Echaur, General of Brigade Porfirio Fuentes Vélez, Group General José Rubén Montesinos and the representatives of Texas A&M University, Mr. Ed Brickley and Mr. Anthony Coggiola.
The objective of the meeting was to present the concept of the pilot training program in Natural Disaster Management. This initiative, promoted by the Inter-American Defense Foundation (FID), aims to reinforce a homogeneous response base for the countries of our hemisphere. During the meeting, representatives from Texas A&M University demonstrated the capabilities of their system, as well as their advanced facilities.
