This May 9, in Bogotá, capital of Colombia, countries from all over America will meet to celebrate 30 years of humanitarian demining on the continent.
Much sweat has been shed in all this time, in favor of a noble purpose: to eliminate from the hemisphere the scourge of antipersonnel mines, which indiscriminately affect innocent people, destroy economies and compromise lives.
The Inter-American Defense Board is extremely proud to be part of this fight and this history!
