Reinaldo Salgado Beato

Major General Reinaldo Salgado Beato joined the Brazilian Army in 1987, graduating from the Agulhas Negras Military Academy in 1990 as an Infantry Officer Candidate. Throughout his career, he has held operational, training, and staff positions, reaching the rank of Major General in November 2023.

With over three decades of service, he held prominent positions such as Battalion and Brigade Commander, Parliamentary Advisor to the Army Commander, Director of the Sergeants-at-Arms School, and Director of Evaluation and Promotions. He also had extensive international experience, including missions in Timor-Leste and Haiti (MINUSTAH), in addition to serving as Advisor and Alternate Delegate to the Inter-American Defense Board in Washington, DC.

In the academic field, he completed military training and advanced courses in Brazil, including the Army Command and Staff Course. He is fluent in Spanish and English and has solid training in strategic leadership and multinational operations.

His service record includes numerous national and international decorations, including the Order of Military Merit in the rank of Grand Officer, the Peacemaker Medal, the War Medal, and distinctions from countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and the Inter-American Defense Board itself.

Major General Reinaldo Salgado Beato is married to Claudia Rodrigues Pádua Salgado Beato, with whom he has two sons: Gustavo and Vinícius.
