On October 23, 2018 at the Casa del Soldado facilities, a “Simulated Board Exercise in Response to a Natural Disaster” was carried out, with the purpose of reviewing the coordination mechanisms regarding natural disasters and humanitarian assistance. of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), as a member of the Inter-American Committee for Natural Disaster Reduction (ICDNDR), to improve its operation.
As a result of the exercise, it will be recommended to the Organization of American States (OAS) to approve the new Disaster Response Framework, proposed by the Executive Secretariat for Integral Development of the OAS.
