The Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) proudly reports the start of the Fifteenth Inter-American Specialized Naval Conference, which will be developed from October 6-10 in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This specialized meeting took place as central theme: naval communications and the use of the High Frequency (HF) spectrum, an essential element to guarantee interoperability, maritime security, and the coordinated response of the navies of the hemisphere.

Representing the IADB, a delegation composed of: Captain of the Ship Daniel Eduardo De la Rosa Méndez, ARD and the Colonel Cristiano Rolim Brazilian Army, along with naval officers and delegates from Member States. During the sessions, the following were analyzed: Technological advances, operational challenges and best practices in the use of HF, as well as its role in scenarios of joint operations, humanitarian assistance and natural disasters.

The conference was organized in coordination with the Brazilian Navy, constitutes a key space for strengthen inter-American naval cooperation, exchange experiences and enhancing the resilience of communication systems at sea, ensuring mutual trust and regional interoperability.

The Inter-American Defense Board reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting the Integration, technological innovation and joint work of the continent's navies, for the benefit of the security and development of the Americas.
