On July 22, the Inter-American Defense Board (IDB) participated in the IX OAS CSBM Forum. On the occasion, after the opening by the President of the Hemispheric Security Commission (CSH) of the OAS, Ambassador Rita Claverie Díaz de Sciolli, the floor was passed to the President of the Council of Delegates, Vice Admiral Alexandre Rabello de Faria, who highlighted the importance of the forum for the consolidation of confidence-building and security measures as an instrument for maintaining peace in the hemisphere.
Under the presidency of Counselor Márcio Rebouças, of the Brazilian Delegation to the OAS, the IX Forum addressed several topics related to measures to promote confidence and security. The IADB Secretariat was responsible for making a presentation on the process of establishing the new OAS List of CSBMs and on the “2020 CSBM Inventory Update Report”
