On October 5, 2022, the ceremony celebrating the 208 years of the Engineer Arm of the National Army of Colombia was held. The military ceremony took place at the parade ground of the Caldas Military Canton, in Bogotá, and was presided over by the Commander of the Colombian National Army, Major General Luis Mauricio Ospina Gutiérrez. The members of the Group of Inter-American Technical Advisors in Colombia of the Inter-American Defense Board, Lieutenant Colonel Cláudio Santos Bispo and Captain of the Marine Infantry Gustavo Lopes da Silva Freitas, participated in the ceremony and received the Military Medal from the hands of General Ospina. The outstanding GATI-CO members have worked together with the General Command of the Military Forces and the School of Military Engineers since November 2020, providing advice and conducting the National Humanitarian Demining Monitors Courses.
