On August 6, 2024, experts and those interested in maritime security will have the opportunity to participate in the III Workshop of the Maritime Security Program of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB). The virtual event, organized by the IADB, will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Washington time, GMT -4).
The workshop will bring together prominent speakers from IADB Member States and various organizations specialized in maritime security, who will address crucial issues related to the adaptation of maritime security forces to the challenges posed by climate change.
The workshop will be divided into three main panels: The impact of climate change on maritime security; Adaptation and mitigation strategies; and Cooperation and strategic alliances.
Registration is free and open to all those interested in the topic. The event will be broadcast on YouTube and will have simultaneous translation into Portuguese, Spanish and English. All those registered for the workshop will receive a certificate, recognizing their participation and commitment to this vital cause.
