On Monday, May 11, the Inter-American Defense Board received a courtesy visit from a delegation of 33 officers from the General Staff Course of the Colombian Military Forces, who were received by Major General Reinaldo Salgado Beato, Director General of the IADB Secretariat.
This important academic and professional visit strengthened the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and strategic perspectives on security, defense, and hemispheric cooperation, contributing to the analysis of the global and contemporary challenges facing the nations of the region.

During the day, the officers were able to learn more about the strategic role played by the Inter-American Defense Board as an international organization specializing in technical advice, military cooperation and capacity building aimed at peace, stability and multidimensional assistance in the Americas.
This meeting also reaffirms the historic ties of friendship, integration and cooperation between the Republic of Colombia and the Inter-American Defense Board, promoting spaces for dialogue, interoperability and mutual understanding between the Armed Forces of the hemisphere.

Joint training, the exchange of experiences, and a shared vision on security and defense challenges remain fundamental pillars for building a more prepared, integrated, and resilient continent.
