In a meeting to promote collaboration and commitment, Teacher Ana Luisa Cinta Narváez, Interim Coordinator before the Armed and Security Forces, and Delegate Edward Gracia, Principal Advisor for Inter-American Affairs, both from the International Committee of the Red Cross, visited on October 18 the Casa del Soldado. They were received by the President of the Council of Delegates General Marco Antonio Álvarez Reyes, the Director General Brigadier Flávio Luiz de Oliveira Pinto and General Néstor Daniel Zalazar Echauri, leadership of the IADB.
Mention was made of commitments that were forged in October 2022, when a restart of collaboration was marked following the challenges we faced due to the pandemic. On this occasion, topics of great relevance for future collaborations were highlighted, such as the promotion of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, the defense of the rights of migrants and the work of women in matters related to peace and security.
The IADB, in its continued quest to foster collaboration and cooperation, in close coordination with the ICRC, is pleased to announce that it will soon publish on this website a link to access the valuable courses offered by this prestigious international humanitarian organization. These courses will be available to all members of the Armed and Security Forces of the Hemisphere, thus contributing to further strengthening our capabilities and knowledge on these critical issues.
Our commitment to the ICRC is to strengthen together a safer and more humanitarian hemisphere.
