The Ecuadorian Army War Academy conducted a professional visit to the Inter-American Defense Board, as part of the academic activities programmed by the General Staff Course.
The Director General of the Secretariat of the Brazilian Army, accompanied by Brigadier General Eduardo Villegas Velásquez of the Mexican Army, welcomed them.
During the visit, they received presentations on administrative management, functions, main activities, achievements and challenges of the IADB and the region, which allowed the participants to broaden their strategic vision and understand the importance of multilateral mechanisms for Regional Defense and Security.
Finally, the students and teachers highlighted the role of the IADB as an entity of the Organization of American States responsible for promoting mutual trust, collaboration and dialogue between the Armed Forces and Security Forces of member countries.
